Where are these NEFs? Camera Card or HD? If camera card, are you using the camera as a removable device or are you using a USB card reader? Pleas answer the same questions about the X100S RAWs too. I can't import NEFs to LR because they can't be read. What about the ones already imported? Are they OK? It's weird because the problem arose just after I upgraded to OSX 10.9 I am able to import RAWs from my X100S but not NEFs. I can't import NEFs to LR because they can't be read. If you can not open an NEF in Preview, then your CODEC that shipped with OSX 10.9 is corrupt and need reinstalling. In Finder, the embedded JPEG thumbnail is what is displayed.Ĭlicking on the file name in Finder will open the default application associated with NEFs. In the import panel LR will read and display the embedded JPEG thumbnail. If you have an image cataloged in your master LR catalog, you should see the thumbnail preview in Grid view and the RGB Preview in Loupe. How are you trying to open? LR only opens catalogs not any image formats. Now, Lightroom doesn't recognise NEF and I can't even open them in finder :( Any of you with the same problem? Before upgrading I was able to open NEF within Lightroom 5.2. I'm new to this interesting and useful group. lightroom/kb/preference-file-locations-li. Godfrey DiGiorgi (a group admin) edited this topic 119 months ago. Those items are color gradients on my system, which has been running OS X Mavericks for some weeks (I've been testing it). Something has gotten screwed up in the app's resources. Kchow510: Mine are in color in LR5.2 and OSX 10.9 What version of LR5 are you running? You should be on rev 5.2. You could try Resetting (or 'Trashing') the Lightroom Preferences file ^that link is a screenshot of how my sliders look in LR5 in Mavericks Example, Temp went from cool to warm and tint went from green to purple etc. Sliders? In LR? Mine are the same old colour.īefore Mavericks, the TEMP/TINT and HSL sliders were in color.

It's a minor change but it annoys the hell out of me. I don't like how the sliders are now white. The programs I was concerned about was LR, PS and Parallels 8.
#ADOBE LIGHTROOM 5.2 REVIEW SOFTWARE#
I had issues with some software after OSX upgrades in the past. It also may be reassuring to some that LR3 seems fine under Mavericks. Thanks for letting us know anyway Chris, it can be helpful to know that others have managed without problem!
#ADOBE LIGHTROOM 5.2 REVIEW 64 BIT#
Upgrading from 10.8.x to 10.9.0 is not like moving from a 32 bot OS to a 64 bit OS or from WinXP to Win8

Although I haven't played with it in detail, Lightroom seems to run just fine on the new OSX. Just a note that I installed OSX Mavericks tonight, Apple's newest (and free) OS.
